One license for 2 domains on same server

Hello Support team,

we have a request as to have two instance instance (urls) of mailwizz on same server but there url will be different.
example : mailings-internal.domain.com and mailings.domain.com
mailings-internal.domain.com : This will be internal domain and can be access on office network only and external network access wont be allowed.
mailings.domain.com : This will be public domain but details of internal domain should not be accessiable.

Do we have a feature in which using only one license of mailwizz, we can add a sub domain or domain in which mailwizz will be install using same license key which was used earlier.?
or we will require 2 license of mailwizz and 2 different installations needs to be done for internal and external domain.
or if we install mailwizz on one domain mailings.domain.com and add the alias for mailings-internal.domain.com and access it ?

Thanks & Regards
Aniket

You can make using one installation, for example:
  • Install MailWizz only once on mailings.domain.com.
  • Set up mailings-internal.domain.com as an alias (CNAME or virtual host alias in Nginx/Apache).
  • You can configure server-side restrictions (via firewall rules, VPN, or .htaccess rules) to block external access to mailings-internal.domain.com.

Thanks for the reply Laurentiu.
Below are some query :
1]if we go with alias then the database will remain the same for both the domain and only one admin would be able to access everything right ?

2]Also please confirm if the database is same for both the domains then internal users can login to external domain(mailings.domain.com) ?

Hello,
What I think @laurentiu is suggesting to have only 1 installation, meaning one database. The CNAME alias will make available the same application under another domain, but you can apply restriction so it will not reachable from the internet.

I am not quite sure if this is applicable to you, since I assume you are already having an internal network without access to the internet.
