which one is the best email verifier and why

    although it is worth reading the whole thread, b/c it seems better to have the email verifier on a separate machine (as receiving mail servers do not like connections and recipient verification without sending)...

    ...probably you could use the above script as posted...
    ...but for sign-up forms there is probably no way - not on one's own server and not via an api service - to overcome the time-consuming grey-listing responses...

    I would like to throw VeriAS into the mix on that one. I would be happy to do an A-B test next to any one of those services for anyone interested.

    I know it is an old thread but:

    Does your exercise Email validator still work? @twisted1919 @frm.mwz :)

    Tried to use it yesterday on a VPS but didn't succeed. :oops:
