How to replace MW tracking with my own tracking link

I'd like to replace the tracker that tracks email opens with my own link. Cause MW tracks bots and server clicks, and spiders and all sorts of clicks that should be filtered out I think
I tried with the tracking domain ooption but couldn't get it to work with my tracking system.

How could I set about this?

I got a tracker, and I create tracking links for my campaigns anyway. So I don't need URL tracking.

But open tracking, how could I send through my own tracking link?

You know that you can blacklist those ips, right ?

You could disable open tracking in mailwizz and then just embed your own tracking pixel, a hidden image which points to a url that tracks the open.

Yes I know, but it seems rather silly to me to try and filter IPs manually, maybe by the hundreds or thousands when I have a tracking software which does it for me and has a much more comprehensive collection of data on bots, spiders and servers that crawl the web with good or bad intentions.

I tried adding the tracking pixel to the emails once, but then remembered that the pixel will show the action only on a tracking link.
The flow would be tracking link click --> go to page where pixel is --> action shows up on tracking link stats.
As no one clicks a tracking link before opening an email, this is useless for me. Or at least I haven't figured out how to use it.

Could you explain to me what exactly the mw open tracking pixel does, how does it track? Maybe I can figure something out on the basis of that. That would be a great help.

It will track the open.

I also need to know how to track opens and clicks of links in my emails sent through mailwizz regardless of the SMTP used.
Once that's working, how do I get a report of same? Aweber provides an excellent report on opens and clicks from broadcasts sent with the option to see counts or percentages. That is what I need in Mailwizz.

@Jesse Josserand - reports like the ones you have in your screenshots are already part of the app, you can see that.

That's also the case for mailwizz, tracking doesn't care of the smtp server you're using.

You just enable this from the campaign settings, set the Opens and Clicks tracking to Yes and that's it, mailwizz will track your link clicks and opens.

I checked the front end and backend as admin and cannot find the campaign settings you referred to.
Please provide exact steps to get to it.

That definitely looks like what I need, but after a campaign has been created, how does one get back to that page to check the settings?

@Jesse Josserand - you can pause the campaign, it will allow you to then access the edit screen.
