Assuming you have no data yet in the app that you feel you don't want to loose, and if you have not resolved it by now, then maybe this works for you:
# delete everything in the folder where you put the app
# in your upload folder unpack (use the cpanel file manager with right click on the zip file) the mailwizz upload
# look into the unpacked directory find the folders 'update' and 'latest'
# take the all !contents! of the 'latest' folder (not the folder itself) and copy them to the (by you) designated location where you want to have mwz installed (probably /public_html/ or /public_html/mwz/ or so)
# then do the install as described in the install steps
