If I populate a list with the custom geostate field, I expect that it would populate with the state based on the IP address even if the field is hidden.

However, it does not seem to be working that way. How can I get the state to autopopulate?

@Scott Champagne - Did you enable the Maxmind Ip extension? That extension is responsible for doing what you need.

When I click on the link, it takes me to a dead link.

the "geolite" portion seems invalid.

I believe this is the right area: https://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/geoip2/geolite2/

@Scott Champagne - they require an account to download, so signup and get the GeoLite2 database after signup.
We corrected this in our dev now.

The above link is not downloadable, how can I download this database or file.
