VERP Bounce Processing

Just wondering if there is a setting to enable this in MW? It's the sort of thing I imagine @twisted1919 would have included but I can't find it anywhere.

We don't have this option since it really isn't used that much afaik, and only phpmailer has support for it.

Thank you for the info. I believe this is due to become the standard in bounce processing as it’s far more reliable.

Especially for list mails VERP is very good to avoid the general address (though this does not exactly apply to mwz), but since SwiftMailer is 2.6x slower than PHPmailer and a lot more difficult with even working (though not RFC compliant) email addresses, perhaps better retire SwiftMailer and use PHPmailer with VERP and have better standards and safer bounce processing?
On the other hand, better have both options: SwiftMailer & PHPmailer, since you never know what fails when

Always like both. Personally I use PHPMailer
