Using SubDomains

Hi

I just read it's good to use a subdomain for each campaign so you can keep your domains reputation up.
"Sometimes, it is a good idea to separate the domains for the type of messages you are sending. For example, some companies will use a different domains or subdomains for bulk marketing mailings and transactional or corporate mail in order to keep the reputations separate."

Does it help using different sub domains to prevent getting blocked or does it block the root domain when emailing and it gets added to a blacklist?

You can view a sub-domain as a reputation sub-realm. But it still adds to the main domain's rep.
If you do many mistakes, then it might get blocked quickly, and subdomains will not help.
It does help to separate streams and sort (out) reps though, so you can control the flow better.
