Tag customers after welcome series

Is there a way to send a welcome series, then tag the customers to know they received these emails so that I can start sending newsletters?

If yes, how to do it?

Why not create a regular campaign and set it so that when they open it, you set a certain value on a custom field, then you segment on that field?

You can set Open/Click subscribers to COPY/MOVE to a new LIST and manage that for newsletter.

Well, the open stat has never ever been a reliable event for me. Sometimes it works, but a lot of times it does not work...

And what if a person never opens that last email? Not reliable at all...

So is there any other way?

After email X has been sent, then copy/move to a new list or something?

There is no tagging users, right?

@JackBauer - On campaign setup you have this option: Actions against subscribers upon campaign sent and you can select move or copy.

Can that be done after 4 emails for example?

You can do it when you wish, just do the action in the 4th campaign so it affects the 5th.
