Setting up localhost clone

Hey gang;

How would I go about setting up a localhost backup/staging clone for offline testing/tweaking? I've got the MAMP server running, the database set up, etc. But what urls do I need to change in the database to get the site working? I've found a few of the MySQL LONGBLOBS in the options table, but changing them alone doesn't seem to do the trick — I'm still getting 500 server errors.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for this! I actually changed the directory (just / instead of /email) so all I had to do was update the .htaccess file (and then add it to the .gitignore file). That did the trick!
