problems with googlemail

i am getting the error when validating my mail after adding the googlemail smtp

• Internal failure, maybe due to missing functions like proc_open!

That's simple, your hosting has disabled the proc_open and/or popen functions.
Have them remove them from the list of disabled functions.
If they don't want to do this, change host.
