list export - timeout error

When we are trying to export a list of 30k subscribers of larger, we are getting the following error

Gateway Timeout

Any ideas please?

Gateway Timeout

This comes from NGINX directly, it doesn't wait for PHP to finish and cuts it off, so increase nginx timeout value, or adjust the import settings, lower them, form backend > settings > import/export.

I have the same problem. 10k export Gateway says timeout; http://prntscr.com/jkffzn

What exactly do we need to do on nginx?
