You rock!!! It says to keep the number low because it can impact performance drastically. If im going from 3 to 5 should I worry?

I changed it and save it but its not taking affect.

@Eric535 - If your customer is not in a group, do the change from backend > settings > customers. if it's from a group, do it from the group.
