How does the Daily quota work on a Delivery Server?

So today I tried to set a daily quota on my delivery server to 55k. It looked like it was working because it paused for a long time around that number. 53000+ to be exact then when I checked back several hours later, It was sending again. Why didnt it wait til the next day to send the rest of the emails?

It does, but it uses the date/time on your server which might be different than the one from your timezone.

@twisted1919 I just ssh'ed into my server and the time is perfect. Same time as the timezone that I am in. See snap.

Seems correct. Give it more tries and see how the daily quota works, remember that a day means a calendar day.

I get that . So why if I set my quota at 50k and then it stops at 50k around 4pm that day then why would it continue going on that same evening?

It shouldn't. It should continue after midnight same day only. I'll have to look into this, but i couldn't reproduce it in my tests.
