How can I upgrade MW 1.8.3 to 2.4.5 Is it possible to upgrade directly to the latest version?

I have a VPS with MW 1.8.3 I did not update it from that version. If I load version 2.4.5, will it update normally or do I have to update a few at a time?

If so, where can I find the missing versions of the software?
