Fake subscribers

Hello,
We've been having an e-mail list for years. We are a list focusing on Sweden. But since we started with mailwizz we are getting fake subscribers from all over the world. Around 50 a day. Is this common and how can I stop it?
(Already have turned on double opt-in but I don't want to stop them that way. Only want single opt-in. Why is this happending)

Maybe use the captcha extension, but really double opt-in is the standard in EU.

I will use double opt-in but however, how do I find instructions to add recaptcha?

Backend > Extend > Extensions and enable the extension, then click on it's name and set it up
