Hello @twisted1919,
I've done some more tests by downgrading ckeditor and the template parser file, but the problem still occurs. Either it breaks the template completely (blank newsletter) or it does eat up every content inside the tags.
Problem is, these are non-standard tags needed for outlook, to prevent display problems. CKeditor doesn't like them, is there a way to tell it to just ignore everything and avoid touching the code at all?

yes, agreed, that is in-line with what others said, e.g. @roAdrian

let's have full freedom to switch the html checks off ( @twisted1919 ), as only then it will work for sure

thx :)

Ckeditor is not builded for be an editor for email, so is not easy manage that
When import template builded with special tag destroy all

Real
html email editors
are available for embedding in apps such as mailwizz
and some have been mentioned in the third party section of the forum a looong time ago
https://forum.mailwizz.com/threads/free-responsive-email-templates.1769/
e.g.
https://developers.beefree.io
or
https://github.com/g13nn/Email-Framework/archive/master.zip
or
https://github.com/mjmlio/mjml
or
https://codeload.github.com/degdigital/MiddleMail/zip/master
or
https://github.com/voidlabs/mosaico
or
http://edmdesigner.com/compatibility

So, if you, @twisted1919, pick the best of the above (or find a better one),
and replace ckeditor, that would give more freedom and be truly great!

Juts a FYI - we completely gave up on using a parser for the email templates, from now on it will work with everything you throw at it ;)

So, from the next update mailwizz will no longer use a parser for the email templates, did I get it right? What about now? Do you have a temporary fix for this?

Do you think any of the above html email editors can be used in mwz? And will there be an ON/OFF switch for the editor, so one can either use the editor or just paste one's own html code?

You got it right.
For now though there's no quick fix.

From netx release since no parser is involved, you can use whatever ;)
