550 SMTP AUTH is required Issue (Resolved)

Some of you might be seeing an error like the one shown in the image when verifying the server.

This issue occurs because of your CPanel settings done at WHM. If you have WHM, you can do it by yourself, otherwise contact the hosting provider.

FIX:

Go into WHM backend and on the left top bar search for EXIM.

Then go into Exim Configuration Manager>Security and disable
(Require clients to connect with SSL or issue the STARTTLS command before they are allowed to authenticate with the server.).

Once done, save the settings and you are all good to go. The issue will be resolved.

The main issue with this one is that you will need a wildcard SSL for your domain name to use protocol for SSL/TLS and this should be enabled by you or your hosting provider.

The main reason is we cannot use mail. or SMTP. will normal SSL. Normal SSL certificate will only put the SSL cert on your main domain name and not on the sub-domain names.

If you want to use SSL as protocol, you need to get wilcard SSL and get the job done.

Never had such a problem.
If it is a shared host, then they should make sure their email settings allow for SSL/TLS, as security requires, otherwise, leave the host asap, as they do not know what they are doing.
If it is your own server with WHMcPanel, then email will work straight out of the box with SSL/TLS.

SSL on port 465 or TLS on port 587

Give an error straight away. For SSL I will need to install wildcard certificate to support mail.domainname.com or smtp.domainname.com to make them work with SSL. For TLS, it gives error like (did you forgot to enable TLS and so on)

It works perfectly, and just for you, I re-tested it again, just moments ago:
# from server A with mwz to server B with exim sent out via SSL/465 100% OK.
# from server A with mwz to server A with exim sent out via SSL/465 100% OK.
Your server/mwz is simply not setup properly. Sorry for not having better news.
