Servers and Domains

Hi, I have a couple of questions about the use of Servers and Domains.

First, the Delivery Server Settings.

In the Settings there is a field for: Username: eg: myself@thisdomain.com
And theres also a field for: From email:

Q1: Do these have to be the same?
Q2: If not, than is it a reasnably good idea to use the main Server/Username for MailWizz. So all emails appear to be from the same company dispite different Servers.

For Example:
Username: myself@thisdomain.com
From email: someone else@anotherdomain.com

Second, what relationship to the Delivery Servers are the Sending Domains?

For example, if I use several username smpt Delivery Servers: eg: me1@domain1.com, me2@domain2.com, me3@domain3.com.

Is it good practice to have those three domains: domain1.com, domain2.com, domain3.com, in the Sending Domains section.

Thanks. Much appreciated.

ADDITIONAL: I see that the description of sender domains includes: verify the authenticity of the domain used in the campaigns FROM email field. Does this mean cmapigns of my own? Or does it go as far as other users? And therefore requires them to add the DNS TXT records suggested. Therefore requiring a conversation between the admin and the customer? My initial questions still apply though.

This is used to login you to your SMTP. It is not necessary to be an email.
And theres also a field for: From email:
This will be the email in the behalf of which the emails are sent further by the SMTP. They need to be a validated (accepted) sender with the SMTP itself, setting that is done at the SMTP level.

Thanks, but I cannot respond fully, until I understand what that article is saying.

I have currently setup email-1, email-2, email-3, as Delivery Servers.
And added those domains as Sending Domains. All Verified.

Tracking domains is another question: For example, (and I need to read that article a few times until it sinks in)
If email-1, email-2, email-3, are my Delivery Servers.
And I want everything to appear to come from email-1 Delivery Server. Then do I need to add a Tracking domain for email-2, email-3 Delivery Servers.

About Sending Domains.... You need them only if your SMTP cannot sign your emails with DKIM.

No, these are not connected.

If you want that all your emails to have the same From address no matter which delivery server is used, you will need one of these 2 things:
1. Either all your delivery servers will have the same from address. That means all can send emails as that email address.
2. Either no matter what is the DS From address, you can have Force From = Never on your delivery servers and in this way, it will be used the from address set on your list or campaign. But for this your SMTPs need to allow email spoofing. Please read this: https://www.mailwizz.com/kb/campaign-comes-wrong-email-address/

Probably looking at settings for each setting and so on. You kinda just kciked me up the ass. So thanks for that... I think? lol. All the best. cheers. Again.

But it seems that because of the Spoofing thing, the Delivery Servers should all be very similar, kinda like whay hosts such as namecheap and reseller club use something like: premium72.web-hosting.com, premium73.web-hosting.com (not that they do), Because why would you join a webiste mails service called for example: maildomain.com, than receive emails from somethingcompletelydifferentandirrelevant.com. Thats what I dont get... Because they are tied to an email adddress which the end user sees. And so when they look at the email address their immediate thought would be, "I dont know them," and then delete the email? Of course, I could be missing something. Ill experiement with your first option above to start.

Just one last thing. Sorry. In all the servers I setup, the Force From Email is Always. And the Force From Name, which is the important part for me, as I want it to appear as if everythings coming from the same place.... The Force From Name is set to NEVER. So can I set this to Always so it appears to come from the same place. ie This Mail Service... for example. As long as the branding (Name) is global, I can live with that. Then Il just buy a bunch of more relevant domains to use solely as Delivery Servers, to keep things more inline. Which I suppose was the idea in the first place. probably?
