Safe way to remove old campaign delivery logs

I wanted to ask first here before I just blindly start deleting things

There is an old install of MW with a massive campaign delivery log table.
The upgrade process is being hindered due to the size of this table.

Is it safe to disable keys then truncate the table? does anything else rely on this data or is it just old logs?

Nope, do not do that.

It does yes

Instead, go to backend > Settings > Cron and enable delivery logs removal from there then let MailWizz cleanup after itself, it knows better

The problem is it's not doing it on this older installation. I don't know why. What are the alternatives?

Run the daily cron job manually, with --verbose flag to see what is going on
Follow the steps from https://kb.mailwizz.com/articles/debug-send-campaigns-command/ but use daily instead of send-campaigns.
