moving to group with lower privileges

Hello,
I was wondering when a plan has a monthly subscription and a customer ended the subscription and has to be moved to a group that allows fewer contacts in his lists, what happens then? Do the contacts that exceed the limit get removed? There also may be other limitations as well. I dont know the correct way to handle this. Any ideas?

Nothing happens, we can't just remove contacts from lists randomly, so the data stays in place, it's just no new data will be created anymore unless they upgrade to a better group.

No, they will not be deleted, that customer will not be able to add another subscribers or create new lists, depends on what settings are in that group.
