How to change the width of the default template

Hello. I am looking for the settings to change the width of a template to 600 px. I have Googled it and cannot find the answer. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Which template? You mean in general? If that's the case, just switch the editor in source mode and add the width on the body tag.
