Emailing from Root Domain VS Sub Domain

google postmater tools says my domain reputation is bad. Even though my user reported spam rate is 0%. I didnt have a dmarc setup so I set it up recently hoping it will fix it. But it has not

I send bulk emails from my root domain along with transactional emails for my ecommerce site from the same root domain. If i send my bulk mail from a sub domain on the same root does it impact the root domain the same? My transactional emails from my website are getting sent to spam so i wonder if I separate the two would it help?

Thanks.

Hello Eric,

Its better to use separate smtp for transactional emails. For transaction email better you use any 3rf party provider like AWS SES, Mailgun.

I use mandrill for my transactional emails and my website transactions. I use AWS for my bulk email. But I think that sending the bulk mail on my root affects my transactional emails and sometimes my trasactional emails end up in spam.

If aws mails lending to spam, then better to use separate similar domain for marketing.
