Is there a way to remove or override the 255-character limit for the consent checkbox?

The 255-character limit is set by the database column type, so it can't be directly overridden unless we change the database structure.
That said, may I ask what you're trying to include in the consent message? For most use cases, especially consent checkboxes, 255 characters is usually more than enough.
