Automation triggers?

As there are no contact/subscriber tags, how do we trigger an automation based on something other than just 'list'? I want to promote lead magnets and trigger specific automations based on what they downloaded.

you can define a custom field, hidden, and when they click the download link in the email, have that custom field get a certain value, then segment on that value and send either a regular or an autoresponder campaign.
