Okay... figured it out. One must first 'pause' an already sent campaign in order to update it.

After an autoresponder campaign has begun sending, there is no 'update' icon visible. So, there is no way to update an autoresponder campaign after it has already started to send? Is this a bug in Mailwizz... or is this the way it's supposed to work? Appreciate your help!
