Thanks for sharing this article. #3 on the list was the first one I tried, and it fixed the problem, but it is worded a little differently in cpanel- :) But just in case someone needs this info: in WHM (Home)- Server Configuration-Tweak settings- Mail- "Restrict outgoing SMTP to root, exim, and mailman (FKA SMTP Tweak)"; needs to be set to "Off"

Has anyone got this error message while trying to validate smtp?

  • Cannot send the confirmation email using the data you provided.
  • ++ Swift_SmtpTransport started
    >> MAIL FROM:<bounce@domain.com>

Any idea how to solve that? I use Cloudlinux/Litespeed Webserver/WHM/cPanel
 
What I tried after...
- double check domian verification
- double check email verification
- double check DKIM
- double check for spelling/typos
all this was good, but I had to manually end up typing in the email address for the setup. The auto-populate feature in my webrowser was causing the error.
