tracking domain

I searched through forums but couldn't find a solution that fits.

I have CNAME setup on trackdomain to trk.trackdomain CNAME mydomain.com
I have mailwizz setup at mydomain.com/mw and tracking domain trk.trackdomain.com
it passed the setup test and CNAME was setup over 48 hours a go.

sent test email
unsubscribe link looks fine
http://trk.trackdomain.com/mw/index.php/lists/qj004td8rba50/unsubscribe/hh255fjagd9f5/mn3873ww3oda

when I click it unsubscribe link I get 404 error and link in browser is
http://trk.trackdomain.com/mw/index.php/lists/qj004td8rba50/unsubscribe/hh255fjagd9f5/mn3873ww3oda

if I manually change url in browser to
http://mydomain.com/mw/index.php/lists/qj004td8rba50/unsubscribe/hh255fjagd9f5/mn3873ww3oda
it works and brings up the unsubscribe screen.

so its not redirecting

to
http://mydomain.com/mw/index.php/lists/qj004td8rba50/unsubscribe/hh255fjagd9f5/mn3873ww3oda

Hello,

Most likely because your server is not prepared to use tracking domains.
Your domain must be the default domain on the ip address so that if you access your IP address in the browser, you see mailwizz, if you don't then you need to change the configuration of your server.

for the domain where mailwizz is installed, its the only domain and in whm its the primary domain.
however, going to my ip address itself or adding /mw or adding /public_html/mz all give 404 not found page

As explained in various places here at the forum,
it is very easy to do cname/tracking for mailwizz in WHM/cpanel
all you have to do is
# make the cname work via dns settings
# park the tracking domain on top of the mwz domain (in whm)
# if need be, set up forwarding into a specific directory as well (in cpanel)
this worked every time so far, and it has been far over 100 times done (by yours truly for others)
