Emails that haven’t been opened

how safe is it to repeat a campaign. But only sending to emails that haven’t been opened? Is the mechanism for tracking opens reliable?

Hey,

Its safe and MailWizz tracks everything perfectly, but one thing you need to think about is as tracking opens requires the user to allow images to be loaded not everyone will have clicked on the button that says "Show Images" or "Show Blocked Content". There for if you never clicked that then even though they opened the email it would not track as an open. So you could potentially be sending emails to people who already did open your email. Theres no way round that im afraid though.

What you could do is create a campaign but only send it to thought that didnt open your previous campaign AND didnt click on any of the links.

That way even if a subscriber didnt enable the blocked content/images to track the Open but still clicked on one of your links you know your next campaign wont be sending to those who at least clicked. You will still be sending emails to some that looked at your email but didnt click on the links though.

Got it. Thanks.

@sendmedialtd
Sorry, the above is wrong.

@Eric535
Clicks count as open :cool:
Easy test, just click any tracked link, and that will show that email has been opened by that subscriber.

Ah didn't realise MW did that. Makes sense to have it track like that though.

But the issue I previously stated is still valid regarding no open being logged if a consumer doesn't enable images/blocked content and they don't click the links. So even if they did open the email and your targeting people who didn't previously open the last one you can still be re-sending to those that actually did open/read the email.

But like I said that's an issue everyone faces.
